Unconventional Bluewater Yachts
Anybody who's seen yachts under the Bluewater company would instantly notice its sleek look, which had been tagged as a "babe magnet" by the press. The construction of yachts made by Bluewater was based on the scrutiny of its founder Jim Klapmeier of the boats in the industry. Klapmeier observed that the market at that time was saturated with sailboats, high-performance boats, sport-fishing boats, and family boats but none actually came even close to building boats sturdy enough to withstand the roughest waters. Moreover, despite the popularity of the conventional yachts, self-starting folks who were interested in maneuvering a luxury boat themselves without having to rely on a crew, were searching for a boat that they can sail comfortably and in confidence in any weather conditions. Engineers from Bluewater were taking inspiration from customers who were looking for a boat furnished in luxury, would provide the feeling of home, and at the same time would be able to entertain guests with the least effort. These were the type of customers who wished there was a boat that can easily handle rough seas, yet can likewise be berthed on the sand. After thorough investigation of Bluewater staff on most yachts, they found that the problem lies in where the center of gravity is situated. Bluewater discovered that a yacht with too much "freeboard" (the distance between the uppermost deck and the water surface) tended to have a difficulty maneuvering in rough water especially when crewed by inexperienced or novice boaters. The more stable boats with reduced freeboard were sailboats, racing boats, or inflatables. However, none of them were seemingly suitable to sail in deep blue seas. In this context, the Bluewater designers made a blueprint of a boat where the engine is moved from the center to the extreme side reducing the space for the engine. Using materials that minimize engine sound and smaller compartments, the innovation quickly became the popular in the industry. All Bluewater yachts are painstakingly constructed to surpass safety standards and durability. For Bluewater, this means setting the handrails on the entire boat higher for optimum protection, and even on the front deck. Bluewater yachts are also designed and constructed with the most state-of-the-art and sturdy materials to allow it to withstand the rigors in the beach.
