    Yacht Builders

In the past, buying new ships from yacht builders will allow the buyer to choose all the specifications of choice. There was no ready made new ships then, either it is made directly from a buyer's order or it is purchased as second hand ship.

Today however, there are ship vendors selling brand new stock yachts build by yacht builders. They are sold for the purpose of customers who'd want their ship available immediately, as soon as they hand them the check. Buying second hand or brand new yachts are cheaper when it comes to acquiring yachts. But other than that, you can't get to choose your own specifications. Do you want a covered sundeck with railings, or being a wood yacht purist, you would want to have a teak and mahogany hull? Sure, but good luck in finding one yacht that fits your specification AND your choice, because 99 times out of the hundred you just won't.

That's the beauty of custom made yachts from the yacht builders. You get to choose you own element. You can fancy dimensions and design, and let the expert yacht builders do the computation and the numbers for you. You can even resurrect a vintage yacht design, all wood, teak or mahogany, as long as you have the cash to spend.

Obviously, small yachts are cheaper than larger yachts. Why most hopeful yacht owners tend to avoid custom made yachts is the purported reasons of being costly ventures. But if you stick to humble designs, you can always have a custom made yacht from the yacht builders for a reasonable fee.

    Oyster Marine

One of the splendid yacht builders in England, Oyster Marine becomes a better choice for private yachts, from small to medium sized yachts. Check them out; you can see several of their proposed designs both types of yacht: sailing and powerboats.

My best pick is Oyster 72, a sleek schooner that has everything a man with a budget to keep wants: practical features thrown into an ergonomically designed vessel. Oyster 72 has good looks but with essential features on their right places.

    Burger Boat Company
    www.burgerboat.com

Burger Boat may not sound as your friendly neighborhood yacht builder but they are in the yacht builders business for three centuries. They specialized in average to big yachts, those that can accommodate several people at a time.

They are your standard yacht builders; starting with a clean sheet of paper they will detail every specification until the final product gets released on a wharf.
